Congratulations to Sergey Alekseyev from Ukraine who won the final of our MONIN Cup 2014 !
The competition took place at ELECTRIC in the heart of Paris. It gathered the 33 winners of their local MONIN Cups who were joined for the second round by the 3 winners of the Asia Pac MONIN Cup.
For the first round, the competitors had to create a short drink under the theme : If your country was a cocktail. The 9 finalists of the second round had to create a long drink based on ingredients put in a mystery box.
Different workshops were organized during the day:
- garnishes design by Kristo Tomingas and Heinar Oispuu
- flavoured teas and coffees by MONIN BID Alexandre Lapierre and Attila Molnar
- olfactory contest
The participants attended 3 masterclasses lead by our very special guests :
- Alex Kratena and Simone Caporale from the world acclaimed Artesian Bar in London
- Wojciech Urbanski the very first MONIN Cup winner and now WCC 2014 Champion
- Thibault de la Fournière from Arcan Rum
Congratulations also to the second and third places : Ms Janika Roosimäe from Estonia and Ms Sayo Toyokawa from Japan.
